    Old Building Demolished

    After removing most of the metal and bolts from the old metal building, we pulled down the frame with a forklift. Then, we began cutting and hauling away the steel for recycling.

    We installed auger cast piles to help support the building on the area's soft and sandy soil.

    Construction continued on the new seawall, and boat bay concrete toppings were poured.

    Demolition began on the old parking lot, and the building was beginning to be painted white and gray.

    Continue Construction On Parking Lot & Seawall

    Underground piping was updated before we worked on pouring the new parking lot. The parking lot was done in 3 separate sections to allow business to continue at Doc Ford's restaurant.

    Begin ASAR Crane Construction

    ASAR crane construction was started. First, the rails the crane ran on were installed, and work similarly to railroad tracks. Then, each piece was lifted separately over the walls and through the roof with a crane.

    Install Boat Shuttle Guide Rails & Misc. Grade Work

    Shuttle guide rails, which the boats rest on, were installed. Miscellaneous grade work was done to prepare for the last section of parking lot.

    Fire-Supression Foam System Tested

    We tested the fire-suppression system here, which fills the building with a soap-like foam that suffocates any fires that may be present in any of the bays. Thankfully, the foam is easily washable and can be disposed of quickly with hoses.

    Gulf Star Marina is complete! The building is now fully equipped and able to store and retrieve boats.
